Iran, Afghanistan hold joint exhibition

Herat, Dec 12, IRNA – The 12th Iran-Afghanistan Joint Exhibition opened in Herat on Tuesday with 50 manufacturing companies showcasing their products.

The expo is hoped to open a new chapter in relations between Iranian and Afghan traders and provide an opportunity for Iranian and Afghan manufacturers to get acquainted with each other's capacities.

Managing Director of the Exhibition Project Management Company Ali-Reza Sadrzadeh pointed to the interest of Iranian and Afghan traders to hold joint exhibitions, and said that is for the 12th time that Iran and Afghanistan to set up a joint exhibition in Herat and this time, 40 companies from Iran and 10 from Afghanistan have participated in the exposition.

The official said holding exhibitions have prepared the grounds for development of trade by the Iranian and Afghan traders.

He said the exhibitions leave drastic impact on imports and exports of Iran and such a dramatic progress in economy of the two countries is the result of holding such exhibitions.

The official said Iranian and Afghan companies have put such products as house appliances, industrial machinery, medical devices, export fruits, honey and foodstuff on show.
