Trump’s action on Quds shows Muslim unity on Palestine issue

Kuala Lumpur, Dec 12, IRNA – The president of the Indonesian Society for Palestine Freedom (Voice of Palestine) believes that Donald Trump’s action to announce Holy Quds as the capital of Israel, once again showed the unity of Muslims on Palestinian issue.

“Mujtahid Hashem” the president of Voice of Palestine, in an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) said, 'Indonesian government and people, while condemning Trump's action, shown solidarity with the Palestinian.

'As we have seen, people across the world rose up in support of the Palestinians and the unification of Muslims could strengthen the position of the Islamic world against the United States.'

He added that various protests that have taken place all over the world 'confirm that Trump violates international laws, and various United Nation resolutions.'

Mojtahid Hashem believes that Trump’s action hampers peace talks.

'He [President Trump] actually showed the nature of the US as well as the attitudes of its politicians towards the Zionist regime.'

'People know about what is going on in Palestine than ever before, the rights of the Palestinian people are more and more evident, and Palestinians supporters are increasing,' he added.

Mujtahid Hashem said that the disclosure of the nature of the Zionist regime and the crimes committed on the land of Palestine has caused many people in the world to demand the return of the Palestinian land to them.

He said that the rights of the people of Palestine, which are based on international charter and international law and basic rights for all human beings, including self-determination, must be returned to the Palestinian people.
