Over 40 Iranian pilgrims injured in Najaf

Tehran, Dec 12, IRNA – More than 40 Iranian pilgrims were injured in a blaze that broke out on Tuesday morining in the holy city of Najaf in Iraq, local media said on Tuesday.

At least 43 Iranian pilgrims have been injured, local Iraqi media quoted Najaf's Fire Department.

The fire broke out in Al-Qabtan Hotel. All of the guests of the hotel are Iranians.

The injured people are being treated at the hospitals of the Iraqi city.

The incident has been reportedly caused by an electrical malfunction, according to the Iraqi media.
