IRNA Chief, senior Iraqi journalist call for boosting media ties

Baghdad, Dec 11, IRNA – Managing Director of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) Mohammad Khoddadi and Head of Iraqi Reporters Association Moayed al-Lami in a meeting here on Monday underlined the need for broadening of media cooperation, especially in the post-Daesh era.

Khoddadi and al-Lami also reiterated the importance of information dissemination in familiarizing with each other's capacities.

The IRNA chief also highlighted the significance of the economic, industrial, trade and agricultural news on development of relations and paving the way for making the two countries' private sectors closer to each other.

Khoddadi also invited al-Lami to pay a visit to Iran in the near future.

Al-Lami, for his part, welcomed cooperation between the Iranian and Iraqi media and news agencies, and underlined the need for exchanging visits by the two sides' media-persons.
