Iran's oil output to hit 9m/bpd by 2025: Oil official

Arak, Markazi Prov, Dec 10, IRNA – Iran has plans to increase oil output to 9 million barrels per day by Vision 2025, according to a senior oil ministry official.

Amir Talebian, social advisor to the minister of petroleum, made the remarks speaking at a conference in Shazand Petrochemical Complex in central province of Markazi.

Noting that western Karoon and South Pars fields are regarded as oil and gas hubs of the country, the official said that Vision 2025 attaches special significance to social development of these areas.

Talebian also touched upon the joint oilfields with Iraq, saying, 'Presently, some 300,000 barrels of oil are exploited from joint oilfields with Iraq.'
