President: Iranians should benefit from nuclear deal

Tehran, Dec 10, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said on Sunday that the Iranian people should benefit from the nuclear deal reached between Iran and Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, Russia, China and France plus Germany) in Vienna in July 2015.

'Implementation and protection of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action is of paramount importance; we believe all, and the Iranian nation in particular should be able to exploit the advantages of the JCPOA,' President Rouhani said in a meeting with British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson on Sunday.

He pointed to Iran's role in fighting terrorism in the region, and said that dialogue between Tehran and London can lead to enhancing cooperation between the two capitals and elevation of stability in the region.

Commenting on US President Donald Trump's decision to transfer its embassy from Tel-Aviv to al-Quds, he described the decision as 'wrong'.

The Iranian president referred to the existing tensions in the region, and said that the decision fueled the flame of fire in the region.
