Iran, Serbia agree to launch direct flight

Belgrade, Dec 9, IRNA – Iran and Serbia agreed to launch direct fligh, sign an agreement on free trade and also increase bilateral trade.

The agreement was signed in Belgrade by Deputy Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications of Serbia Stevan Nikčević and Head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Mojtaba Khosro Taj.

“Visa waiver for both countries’ nationals is a positive step in facilitating exchanges between Iranian and Serbian people and will increase tourism exchanges,” Khosro Taj said.

“Launching direct flight between two countries will boost commercial exchange,” he added and expressed Iran’s readiness for holding joint economic conference.

“It will be important for both countries to get acquainted with potentials and capacities,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nikčević expressed the hope for reinforcing cooperation in information technology and communication fields.

“Iran and Serbia have had cooperation in industrial and agriculture fields and they are supposed to cooperate in energy and mine,” he added.
