Trump's Al-Quds move plunges region into war: Pak politician

Islamabad, Dec 9, IRNA -- Secretary General of Pakistan’s top Islamic party has denounced US President Donald Trump for his decision to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem (Beit-ul Moqaddas).

In an interview with IRNA, Liaqat Baloch of Jamaat-e-Islami warned that the move could plunge the entire world into flames of war.

'The US step in this direction will have serious consequences,' he said and was of the view that none of the Muslim rulers can support Trumps' dangerous plan.

The US president's Wednesday announcement to recognize Beit-ul Moqaddas as the capital city of the Zionist regime has faced extensive criticisms all over the world even from the US allies.

Baloch added that the Trump’s move clearly shows that the US is backing the Zionist regime for its atrocities on the innocent people of Palestine.

'We the Muslims must unite and shun our differences to bring stability in the Muslim world which is not acceptable to our enemies. Our enemies will always hatch conspiracies to divide us, but we have to remain vigilant and defeat the enemy through unity.'

After the Trump’s move the cause of Palestine will become more important in the world, he said.

The religious leader also believed that US wants to trigger a new war in Middle East to avenge its defeat in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon.

He said that the United Nations General Assembly session must be called on an emergency basis to stop the US controversial move.

Baloch called upon the Muslim World and international society to force the Zionist regime to immediately stop violation of fundamental rights of the people of Palestine.

The politician said that imperialist forces are hatching different conspiracies to divide Muslims.
