Pakistan highly values ties with Iran: Pak Minister

Islamabad, Dec 7, IRNA - Pakistan Minister for Defense Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has said that Pakistan highly values its fraternal ties with Iran and considers it a close friend.

During a meeting with Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost, he also extended invitation to Iran to attend Pakistan’s defense exhibition IDEAS-2018 which will be held in November 2018.

Speaking on the occasion, Rana Tanveer Hussain appreciated Iran for its help to Pakistan in difficult times.

He said that Iran and Pakistan enjoy good neighboring relations with potential of mutually rewarding multifaceted engagements.

He said the two countries have cordial relations. “Our doors are open for all kind of support for Iran”, said Hussain.

The federal minister also said that Pakistan is on its way to development after passing through a crucial phase in fighting terrorism with rewarding outcome for Pakistan as well as neighboring countries.

He briefed the dignitary about the defense industrial potential of Pakistan and desired to know about the Iranian defense industry.

He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will prove a milestone for regional development. The Minister for Defense Production offered Iran to take benefit from the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.
