Iran underlines expansion of cooperation in Eurasia region

Moscow, Dec 5, IRNA – Head of Iran's General Inspectorate Organization Nasser Seraj underlined development of cooperation among representatives of Ombudsman in Eurasia states here on Tuesday.

Representatives from the Eurasian states discussed title 'safeguarding human rights in Eurasia: exchanging the best experiences of commissioners to observe and secure human rights' in a conference in Moscow.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sends a message to the conference.

In the message, Putin said under the current situation holding talks between human rights representatives and watchdogs of the countries has special importance and needs more effective international cooperation.

Nasser Seraj in his speech in the conference pointed to importance of development of cooperation in ombudsman to provide citizens rights, and establishment of Eurasia ombudsman association, which was declared in the conference as historical opportunity to create new complexes of supervising bodies in civil society with the aim to strengthen social solidarity, exchanging experiences and information.
