Blast in western Syria kills 5

Damascus, Dec 5, IRNA/SANA - The death toll of an explosion in Al-Ahram Street in Homs, Syria on Tuesday rose to 5 people, while 12 others were injured, two critically, Homs Governor, Talal al-Barazi, told SANA.

The explosive device was planted by terrorists inside a passenger bus.

Syrian intelligence forces have foiled two bombs in recent days in different parts of Homs, one of which weighed 5 kg.

Homs to the west of Syria, 162 km from the capital, is the third biggest Syrian city after Damascus and Aleppo.
