Pakistan’s ex-president fully supports early completion of IP gas pipeline

Islamabad, Dec 2, IRNA - Former President of Pakistan and President of 'Pakistan Peoples Party' (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has called for early completion of Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project.

He expressed the remarks during a meeting with Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi Ahmad Mohammadi who called on him at Bilawal House (main headquarters of the PPP) in Karachi.

Former President and the Consul General discussed cordial relations between brotherly countries and matters of mutual interests.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Member of Ntaional Assembly (MNA) Faryal Talpur, Senator Sherry Rehman and Senator Salim Mandviwala were also present on the occasion.

Pakistan and Iran have always enjoyed strong brotherly relations, but they reached at their peak in the tenure of Pakistan People’s Party government. Pakistan had also signed the Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project with Iran in PPP’s government.
