Tehran, Seoul ink cooperation document

Tehran, Oct 18, IRNA – Iranian capital, Tehran and South Korean capital, Seoul signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost cooperation.

According to the agreement, Tehran and Seoul will exchange information in the fields of transportation and improvement of weather conditions.

Cooperation in the fields of public health, water supply and sewage system development are other topics for cooperation between Tehran and Seoul.

According to the MoU, Tehran and Seoul will cooperate in sharing technical know-how, financial investment and economic cooperation.

Former South Korean President Park Geun-hye paid a visit to Iran in 2016 which is cosidered the most significant since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries in 1962.

A delegation comprising 236 officials and heads of the biggest companies and industries accompanied her in her three-day visit.

During the visit, a number of directors of big Korean companies signed memoranda of understanding after talks with their Iranian counterparts.
