Martyr Hojajji's body to return to Iran

Esfahan, Aug 31, IRNA – The body of Iranian defender of Holy Shrine Mohsen Hojajji who was martyred by Daesh (ISIS) terrorists is to return to Iran, said an Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' (IRGC) commander on Thursday.

Seifollah Rashidzadeh said, 'The martyr's Body will most probably be laid to rest in Najaf Abad, Isfahan Province, on Sunday, after the procession ceremony.'

Rashidzadeh said, 'Daesh gave back three bodies to Syria, two of which belong to Hezbollah and one is said to be Martyr Hojajji's body.'

The DNA tests are being conducted in Syria to certify that the body is Hojajji's, although, 'according to the characteristics provided by Damascus the body is Martyr Hojajji's'.

Following a US strike against the Iraqi Popular Forces (Hashd al-Shaabi), Daesh (ISIS terrorist group) seized the opportunity to attack the Syrian troops deployed along the borders with Iraq in which Mohsen Hojaji, an Iranian military advisor was taken hostage by the terrorist group elements and brutally beheaded later on camera.

Soon after his death, Zahra Abbasi, Hojajji’s wife, told the Iranian press, that Hojajji’s dream was to become a martyr and that he had told her that he was ready to defend Islam 'within Iranian borders or in another country'.

After the picture was released, she said, “Look into my husband’s eyes. There is no fear in these eyes. It is all bravery and courage. He looks like a mountain.”

People who see the picture willy-nilly make a comparison between the expressions of Hojajji and his captor: Hojajji, who saw death in front of him, seems calm, but the Daesh terrorist, with blood oozing from his face, looks anxious.

The IRGC had earlier announced that it will seek sturdy revenge for Hojajji's martyrdom.
