2nd Iran's Parliamentary report on nuclear deal reviewed

Tehran, Aug 29, IRNA – The second report of Iran's Parliament (Majlis) on the implementation of the nuclear deal was reviewed by the Iranian lawmakers on Tuesday.

Spokesman of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Hossein Naqavi Hosseini presented the body's second report on the progress of the nuclear agreement implementation at the open session of the legislative body.

The report was composed of eight parts, each respectively addressing the following topics: the report's sources and principles; commitment of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the nuclear deal; Iran's nuclear activities; the lifted sanctions; the remaining sanctions; cases of the US violations; proportionate retaliatory measures by the Islamic Republic of Iran's government; and conclusion and suggestions.

Iran and the major world powers- the US and the UN Security Council permanent members plus Germany- signed the nuclear deal in 2015 known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Under the agreement Iran accepted to curb its nuclear program in return of sanctions relief.

Today's Parliament session was held with the participation of 190 out of the total of 290 lawmakers and was presided by Vice-President Masoud Pezeshkian.
