Lebanon freed from terrorist occupiers again

Beirut, Aug 29, IRNA – Lebanon managed to retake some of its eastern areas from the terrorist group Daesh on Monday after eight days of intense fight.

As a result of an eight-day operation by Lebanese army and Hezbollah, and the army of Syrian in the Syrian part, a 120-killometer area straddling Syria-Lebanon border, was retaken from Daesh (ISIS) terrorists on Monday night.

The region was under control of the terrorist group for about three years.

A couple of weeks ago, the Lebanese army in cooperation with Resistance forces succeeded to force the terrorist group al-Nusra Front withdraw from the eastern heights in Arsal.

This is the second time that the Lebanese won a historic victory since 2,000 when they for the first time drove the Zionist occupiers out of the southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah in an address over the victory, said that (August 28) should be designated as the ‘second liberation of Lebanon’ in the history, as the first one happened in 2,000 and Zionist regime was expelled from the territory of Lebanon.

'Today, no Daesh militant exist in any place of the Lebanese territory,' Nasrallah said adding, those who had counted on Daesh and al-Nusra Front feel unhappy over Daesh defeat.
