4.7-magnitude quake jolts central Iran

Tehran, Aug 27, IRNA – A 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit some areas of the Yazd Province, central Iran on Saturday.

According to Geophysics Institute of University of Tehran, the quake occurred at 21:41 hours local time (17:10 GMT).

The quake’s epicenter was registered at 31.63 degrees longitude and 56.08 degrees latitude 10 km deep in ground.

There is no immediate report on possible casualty or damage caused by the tremor.
