Iran deputy FM in Beirut to hold talks with Lebanese officials

Tehran, Aug 21, IRNA - Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari arrived in Beirut on Monday morning to hold talks with several senior Lebanese political and religious officials.

The visit is made in line with the regular meetings held between the Iranian and Lebanese officials to discuss issues of mutual interests and regional and international developments.

During his three-day visit, Ansari is slated to hold talks with Lebanese President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri, Foreign Minister Gebran Basil, as well as several senior politicians and religious leaders.

Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations in political and security arenas.
