Iranian president: Forming any int'l coalition against Iran 'impossible'

Tehran, Aug 15, IRNA – Today, no one is capable of talking about any international coalition against Iran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said here on Tuesday.

'Iran sees the nuclear deal not a threat against [other] countries and also not a submission to the powers,' President Rouhani noted while addressing the Majlis (Parliament) open session this morning to review the government's plans and give vote of confidence to the proposed ministers.

President Rouhani further said the government is to pursue a long-term planning for different arenas including environment and foreign policy.

On the economic issues, the president, who took office for the second term on Aug 5, said that the expectations should be formed according to an annual income below 50 billion dollars.

He went on to say that earning an annual income over 100 billion dollars has been unachievable in the past decade.

The president also talked about the issues of employment, banking system and citizens' rights.

President Rouhani also elaborated on the country's foreign policy which he said has focused on the interaction with the world and safeguarding Iranians' dignity.
