Iraqi top official calls for benefiting from Iran's experiences in fight against terrorism

Qom, Aug 14, IRNA -- Iraqi Interior Minister Qasim al-Araji said on Monday that the Islamic Republic of Iran has invaluable experiences in defense as well as fight against terrorism and Iraq should seize the opportunity to take advantage from them.

The Iraqi minister said in a meeting with Qom's Governor General Mehdi Sadeqi in Qom on Monday.

During the meeting, the two ministers agreed to form a joint committee for transfer of Iran's experiences to Iraq in defense as well as fight against terrorism.

Iran has always interacted with Iraq properly which can help broaden ties and cooperation between the two countries, said the Iraqi minister.

Given various commonalities between people in Qom and Iraq, grounds for expansion of cooperation between the two sides are well prepared, Qom governor general said.

'We hope through bolstering Iraqi voluntary forces to witness complete clearance of the region and eradication of Takfiri groups,' Sadeqi said.
