Iran's embassy in Kabul denounces Riyadh's unprofessional claims

Kabul, Aug 8, IRNA -- Iran's embassy in Kabul issued a statement on Tuesday to strongly denounce and refute unprofessional and seditious allegations made by Saudi Arabia which tries to put the blames on others in order to distort the realities.

This claim is made by a regime that once recognized the then-Taliban government in Afghanistan and still maintains its relations with various terrorist groups in the country as well as in the entire region sounds very odd, the statement read.

They made such allegations ignoring the fact that Iran's diplomats in Mazar-i-Sharif were victims of terrorist violence and today, August 8, 2017 in which some nine Iranian diplomats along with IRNA Bureau Chief in the city were martyred by Taliban is regarded their martyrdom anniversary, the statement read.

All are well-aware of the extremist thoughts triggering terrorism in the region and adopting wrong policies in the region which is the root cause of extremism and terrorism, the statement read.

The statement underlines Iran's principled policies is based on backing peace and stability in Afghanistan and believes that Afghanistan should be core of cooperation and constructive interaction with other countries and all should avoid creating problems in the country.
