No Iran-UK talks over Zaghari's swap:Spokesman

Tehran, Aug 7, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman said the British mission that was in Tehran to attend President Rouhani's oath-taking ceremony had a meeting with Nazanin Zaghari, but no talks were held for her swap.

Speaking in his weekly press briefing, Bahram Qasemi said Ms. Zaghari is an Iranian national but has a British spouse.

'There has been no negotiation between Iran and the UK for her exchange,' said Qasemi.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who worked for the Thomson Reuters Foundation, was arrested in Kerman in April 2016 with charges relating to national security; she has been sentenced to five years in jail.
