Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers win title at Junior World Championships

Tehran, Aug 6, IRNA – Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers won the first place for the first time in the history at Junior World Championships underway in Finland.

Iran's Pouriya Dadmarz and Keramat Abdevali won the gold medal on the very first day of the competitions in 50-kilogram and 60-kilogram weight categories, respectively.

Amin Kaviani-nejad and Arman Alizadah Abdevali advanced to the finals and other Iranian wrestler Amin Mirzazadeh reached the third place game.

So Iran became the early champion of the tournament before the final and third place games of the second four weight categories begins.

Russia, the US and Ukraine will compete for other places after Iran.
