Croatian state secretary arrives in Tehran for Rouhani inauguration

Tehran, Aug 4, IRNA – Croatian State Secretary for Labor and Pension System Marko Pavic arrived in Tehran late on Thursday to attend President Hassan Rouhani swearing-in ceremony on August 5.

Rouhani's presidential decree was endorsed by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Thursday in Imam Khomeini Husseinieh while the inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held in Majlis (parliament) on Saturday with high-ranking officials from 92 countries in attendance.

Eight presidents, 19 parliament speakers and prime ministers, seven vice speakers, 11 foreign ministers and 35 special envoys are slated to take part in Rouhani’s inauguration.

Meanwhile, 12 deputy foreign ministers, six chairmen of parliamentary friendship groups and two chairmen of foreign policy commissions are present in the upcoming event.

The inauguration ceremony will be held in the parliament where Rouhani is expected to propose his 18-members cbinet for a vote of confidence on the same day.
