Pakistan National Assembly speaker due in Tehran Friday

Islamabad, April 20, IRNA - Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq leaves for Tehran on Friday morning at the head of a parliamentary delegation.

Sadiq’s visit is to take place upon an invitation by his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani to reciprocate his trip to Islamabad in November, 2014.

Sadiq is slated to hold talks with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh and Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission during his stay in Tehran.

Exchanging parliamentary delegations between Iran and Pakistan both at the level of bilateral and regional cooperation has always been on the two parliaments' agenda.

During his stay, Pakistani official will visit the picturesque city of Isfahan and make a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mashad. He leaves Mashad for Islamabad late on Tuesday.
