Chairman of Majlis (Parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks while commenting on demands recently made by the EU that Iran should disclose new information about its nuclear equipment.
'Iran is the most transparent country around the world that all of its nuclear activities are being made under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) cameras,' Boroujerdi said stressing that the EU demands were made under the US pressure.
The IAEA has complete and updated information about Iran's nuclear sites and equipment, the MP added.
By taking such a political move, he stressed, the US is to cover its repeated failures in implementation of the landmark nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Boroujerdi stressed.
He noted that US is violating a deal which was signed by the country itself.
Iran and the six world powers- the US, UK, France, Russia and China plus Germany- have reached a landmark nuclear agreement, knowen as the JCPOA, on July 14, 2015. The 'Implementation Day' of the deal was announced on January 16, 2016.
Iran has repeatedly reiterated its commitment to the JCPOA.
In its latest report on Tehran's nuclear activities in the post-JCPOA era, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has reaffirm that Iran's nuclear materials production has been in line with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and its agreement with the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany.
The report was released by (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano in 5-page on September 8. It was circulated among the representatives of the 35 IAEA member states.
