Iran rejects alleged US message for talks with Iran over Yemeni crisis

Tehran, Sept 17, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi on Saturday rejected news reports by some media about Iran's receiving a message from the US for talks over the ongoing crisis in Yemen.

Qasemi said that Iran has never received any message for talks with third parties on the Yemeni crisis and the report is thus rejected.

In March 2015, a Saudi-led coalition began a major aggression on Yemen in a bid to reinstate the country's fugitive president Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
