Larijani: Iran welcomes any agreement, dialogue on equal basis

Tehran, Sept 15, IRNA – Secretary of the Human Rights Headquarters Javad Larijani says Iran welcomes any kind of engagement and dialogue on equal standing.

Speaking to Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni Silveri on Wednesday, Larijani said the key to Iran-Italy human rights and judicial dialogue is their avoiding any prejudice and judgment in advance.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has always been stressing that it favors engagement and dialogue, he added.
'Iran seeks dialogue on equal standing and on key, serious and influential issues,' he added.
He said instead of condemning each other, the two sides should hold talks and investigate issues and even differences .
Noting that stern campaign against terrorist and drugs needs serious global endeavor, Larijani said that's for 37 years that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been seriously and firmly fighting drugs and terrorism, well proving that it has been successful in both fields.
Though dangerous terrorist groups and drugs distribution and production firm have surrounded Iran, it is one of the safest countries in the world, he announced.
'the main way of campaign against terrorism is global endeavor coupled with sincerity of western states, especially the US,' said Larijani, adding that Americans divide terrorism into good and bad. 'We do not accept the method and believe that without campaign against all forms of terrorism, there will be no success.'
