Nominal capacity of Iran's power plants stood at more than 75,000 megawatts, so it makes up for the first position in the region and the 14th position worldwide.
Once second gas unit of Samangan power plant is operational in Kerman Province, power generation capacity will reach 332 megawatts and the capacity of Shubad Synthetic Cycle Power Plant will stand at 484 megawatts.

Tehran, Sept 10, IRNA – An extra 326 megawatts electricity was added to the national grid from the second unit of Samangan Synthetic Cycle Gas Power Plant and the Steam Unit of the first phase of Shubad (Kahnouj) Combined Cycle Power Plant.
