Currently, four newly-produced Iranian films are on screens in movie theaters throughout the country that are relatively well-welcomed by movie-goers.
‘I am not Salvadore’ directed by Manoochehr Hadi, has been most welcomed by spectators, followed by ‘Nameless Alley’ directed by Hatef Alimardani, ‘Conditional Freedom’ by the first-time director Hossein Mahkam, and ‘Conscription Service Comes to End’ directed by Hamid Zargarnezhad.
At least 22 more movies are currently on screens in theaters throughout the country in varied genres, but mostly comic, social and documentary.
During ending days of the year before the Persian New Year begins on March 20, Iranian people are usually engaged in cleaning their homes and doing shopping. It is a new development that despite all their preoccupations, people have been attracted by new movies.
