Abbas Akhundi who was speaking to the press on the sidelines of the 2nd Iran-Italy Commerce Conference in Tehran said that particular projects in four fields of railways, road construction, air transportation and sea routes cooperation have been proposed to the Italians and negotiations have been held accordingly.
The roads and urban development minister said another proposal to the Italians is related to improvement of road, railwar and air services offered from Bazargan international border crossing to Imam Khomeini (RA) port.
On the value of the agreements reached with Italy, Akhundi said that it all depend on the Italians' survey and the level of their involvement in those projects.
He said that the Italians have a good record of cooperation in Iranian infrastructural projects and Iran has had the least amount of legal cases and problems with them.
'Iran is after long-term cooperation with Italy,' he added.
Graziano Delrio, Italian minister of infrastructures and transports, said in the press conference that the Italians are very eager to cooperate with Iran in the fields agreed upon by the two sides.
He said that cooperation for facilitating Iran-Italy air trips and transportation is among Italy's other fields of interest. A 310-member Italian delegation from 197 companies arrived in Tehran on Monday, two weeks after an Iranian delegation's visit of Italy.
The outcome of President Hassan Rouhani's recent visit of Italy has been signing of contracts worth $18.4 billion in various fields.
The Italian delegation's visit to Iran is expected to lead to signing of contracts in oil and energy fields.
