UAE, Oman, Turkey major markets for Iran's gold products

Tehran, Feb 7, IRNA – UAE, Oman, Turkey and Afghanistan are among the main foreign markets for the Iranian gold products, said vice chairman of Union of Gold, Jewelry, Silver and Precious Stones Producers and Exporters.

Mansour Namdari-Zandi added that Persian littoral states boast of high potential to sell Iranian gold products.

Noting that imports of gold products to Iran is forbidden, he said that one of the problems facing the sector is the issues pertaining to exports and imports of the precious stones and procuring relevant equipment.

Of course, following the removal of sanctions, the problems will be solved, he said.

Namdari-Zandi also declared that the Eighth International Gold, Silver, Jewelry, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition will be held from February 16-19.

The exhibition will seek to introduce the country's capabilities in the fields of gold, silver, jewelry and watch industries.

Introducing domestic products and technologies and creating an opportunity for producers, exporters and service providers to get acquainted with modern technologies and equipment, he said.

The official further noted that companies from Italy, China, Turkey and Britain will take part in the upcoming exhibition.
