Iran’s Quranic community to pay tribute to founder of Islamic Republic

Tehran, Jan 30, IRNA – Members of the country’s Quranic community will visit the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA) on Sunday.

They will visit the holy shrine south of Tehran to pay tribute to Imam Khomeini (RA) and renew allegiance with his aspirations.
Quran activists, officials and reciters and memorizers of the Holy Quran will take part in the program and lay wreaths of flowers on the tomb of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
It will come on the first day of the 10-Day Dawn Period which marks the anniversary of Islamic Revolution’s victory.
Millions of Iranians on Sunday will begin celebrating the 37th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution that toppled the US-backed Pahlavi regime.
Special ceremonies will be held across Iran to mark the occasion.
