Tehran, Jan 30, IRNA – Head of Trade Development Organization said that over 800 exhibitions will be held in Tehran and other provinces next year (to start March 20).

According to the organization's Public Relations Department, Valiollah Afkhami-Rad added that in addition to the domestic exhibitions, some 60 international exclusive and specialized events featuring goods and services have also been approved to be held in target countries.

The exhibitions are aimed at making optimal use of commercial opportunities, paving the ground for presence of local and foreign production units in the country as well as making the best of the post-sanctions era, he said.

Afkhami-Rad further pointed out the exhibitions will also seek to introduce Iran's potential and actual capabilities and commercial opportunities and identify the needs of markets in the target countries.

Underlining the significance of holding exhibitions inside the country and abroad as one of the influential means for marketing and trade development, the official also said that the enterprises have been provided with an opportunity to review all exhibitions and make plans for attending the exhibits.

The official also called for serious attention to commercial exhibitions as one of the strategies for promoting non-oil exports, especially during post-sanctions era.
