Iran, French telcom firms sign up MoU

Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA – Iranian Company Asr-e Danesh signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the French telcom company Techtys in a ceremony attended by Communications and Information Technology Minisiter Mahmoud Vaezi.

According to the ministry's Public Relations Department, Vaezi during his Paris visit, discussed Iran's future plans in the field of communications with French Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs Emmanuel Macron.
The Iranian minister also called for joint activities and investment in the field and transfer of technology to Iran's market.
Macron described promoting economic ties with Iran as significant, saying that his country will remain committed to whatever is agreed during President Rouhani's visit to Paris.
Underlining the need for cooperation with Renault and Startup companies, he said that he will travel to Tehran to study the situation and ties with Iran.
Iranian and French companies convened in MEDEF last night to discuss their mode of cooperation as well as their needs.
Vaezi also said that France is willing to see a close cooperation between the Iranian and French firms.
