President Rouhani back in Tehran from lightning EU tour

Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani arrived back in Tehran earlier this Friday morning at the end of his 5-day Italy-France-Vatican official visit and was received by the Supreme Leader's adviser in international affairs and the justice minister in Tehran's Mehrabad airport.

President Rouhani in his visit of France in a meeting with his French counterpart exchanged viewpoints on expanding bilateral ties, issues of mutual interest and some major international developments.
The president and his accompanying delegation meanwhile held two rounds of talks with the major economic companies of France and a group of French intellectual and political commentator elites, offering an address in the latter meeting.
20 cooperation documents were singed between the two governments in this visit and the Iranian and French private sectors, too, signed more than 10 cooperation documents.
In his Italian visit, too, President Rouhani laid the required foundations tone for a dynamic Iran-Italy comprehensive cooperation in political, economic, cultural, tourism, scientific and technological fields by signing 14 memoranda of understanding (MOUs) and a roadmap for joint cooperation.
Before leaving Rome, President Rouhani stressed in a press conference that the radius of Iran-Italy joint projects will be beyond the two countries' borders and will benefit the nations in Middle East and EU domains.
President Rouhani in this lightning European visit meanwhile met and conferred with the Italian president and prime minister in Vatican he met and talked with the head of the world Catholic Christians.
The president and his accompanying delegation also had meetings with the Italian economic activists and top industrialists as well as another meeting with that country's private sector economic activists in which dynamizing the two countries' private sectors' ties was in the focus of attention.
