Jannati: Coexistence of Monotheistic Religions in Iran is exemplary

Isfahan, Jan 28, IRNA- Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Jannati said that the Coexistence of Monotheistic Religions and their affinity are exemplary.

Speaking in the 7th International Monotheistic Religions Conference, Jannati said that religious minorities as well as other religions' followers defended Iran during the 1980-1988 imposed war.

He added that terrorism and extremism are not compatible with any religion's instructions.

He noted that peaceful coexistence among Monotheistic Religions will pave the way for using different religions' common capacities against excess and violence.

Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Ali Jannati and President's Special Aide on Ethnic and Religious Minorities Affairs, Ali Yunesi took part in the event.

Religious minority representatives from United Arabic Emirates, Armenia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Yemen, Oman, the Congo, the United Kingdom and Australia participated in this event.

The event is being held on January 28 in Isfahan.
