Iran, Spain draft agreements on nuclear cooperation

Tehran, Jan 27, IRNA – Spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said on Wednesday that Iran and Spain have drafted agreements on nuclear cooperation.

Based on the agreements which are being finalized, the two countries will cooperate on different fields such as power plants, manpower training, simulation and dealing with emergency situations, Kamalvandi said.

Iran and Spain began negotiations for nuclear cooperation before the implementation of Iran nuclear deal, but the talks gained momentum after the implementation of the deal on Jan. 16, Kamalvandi added.

'Nearly a month ago, we travelled to Spain and visited the cities and facilities of the country.'

The agreements between the two countries have been drafted and will be finalized within the next two months, Kamalvandi said.
