President: Win-win nuclear deal has more colorful prospects for Europeans

Tehran, Jan 27, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani said nuclear sanctions were more harmful to the Europeans and the win-win deal has more colorful prospects for them.

Speaking in a press conference at the end of his visit to Italy, President Rouhani said the Europeans benefited the win-win deal which resulted in implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA).

Iran did not have ties with US before the sanctions, and Russia and China continued their economic relations with Iran in the sanction era, Rouhani said.

He said that EU was the big loser of anti-Iranian sanctions.

Referring to the historical ties between Iran and Italy, he said Italy was once Iran's first trade partner.

The Iranian President, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in Rome, Italy, on Monday to hold talks with top Italian officials on various international and bilateral issues.

President Rouhani also met with Pope Francis in the Vatican City on Tuesday.

Rouhani is to leave Italy for an official visit to France later on Wednesday as the last leg of his European tour.
