Iran capable of acting as hub for air transportation in region

Tehran, Jan 25, IRNA – A senior business American official said that Iran is in the center of a big region and has enough capabilities to turn into a hub for air transportation in the region.

Jim O' Sullivan, Vice-President of Sales and Business Development in the US HEICO Aerospace Parts Group, made the remarks talking to IRNA on the sidelines of the CAPA Iran Aviation Summit 2016.

The Summit was held in Tehran on January 24-25.

Established in 1990, CAPA - Centre for Aviation is the leading provider of independent aviation market intelligence, analysis and data services, covering worldwide developments.

Aviation capacities in Iran are intact, said he, adding they are capable of witnessing a bright prospect by foreign investment.

Foreign corporations will have intense competitions for being present in the Iranian market, said the US businessman.

However, in Iran's market, there are opportunities for all, added he.

HEICO is reviewing potentials in the Iranian market to invest there in future, he said.

Over 160 representatives of 85 aircraft manufacturing corporations from 35 world countries attended Iran's two-day aviation summit.

At the opening ceremony of the Summit, Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi said the country welcomes cooperation with all aviation corporations except that of the Zionist regime.
