Iranian envoy to Denmark presents credentials

Tehran, Jan 23, IRNA – The new Iranian Ambassador to Denmark Morteza Moradian presented his credentials to Denmark's Queen Margrethe II.

During the meeting, Queen Margrethe referred to the historical ties between Iran and Denmark and voiced hope for expansion of ties between the two states.

The queen wished prosperity and well-being for the Iranian nation.

New Iranian envoy stressed the potential for further deepening and expanding of mutually beneficial cooperation and enhancing interaction in various spheres.

After implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan Of Action (JCPOA), ground is ready for expansion of ties between Iran and European states particularly Denmark, Moradian added.

Following the recommendation of Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, and the approval of President Hassan Rouhani, Iran’s new Ambassador to Denmark Morteza Moradian was selected on January 13.

Moradian had already served as director general for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Caucuses, north western neighbours, deputy director general for Western Asia, and Irans ambassador to North Korea.
