12th Persian Language Olympiad held in Moscow

Moscow, Jan 23, IRNA - The 12th Persian Language Olympiad with the presence of Russian and Belarusian universities was held in the Asian and African college of the State University of Moscow on Friday.

According to Media Diolomacy Department of Iranian Embassy in Moscow, Russian students studying the Persian Language from universities of Astrakhan, Qaran, Ufa, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Minsk and several other universities participated in this event.

The Persian Language Olympiad consisted of four sections including literature, Persian Language, translation and conversation.

Speaking in the award ceremony, Iran's Ambassador to Russia, Mahdi Sanaie said that holding the Persian Language Olympiad in Moscow has become a custom.

Sanaie expressed his appreciation to Iranologists and Persian language professors' efforts in developing Iranology culture and the Persian language.

The president of the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University together with some other Iranologists attended the event.
