Croatian official underlines boosting ties with Iran

Belgrade, Jan 20, IRNA - Croatian Assistant Foreign Minister Andrea Metelko Zgombic on Wednesday underlined the need for promoting relations with Iran.

Metelko made the remarks in a farewell meeting of Iran's outgoing ambassador Mohammad Ebrahim Taherianfard.
She referred to development of Iran-Croatia ties in recent years and Croatian top-ranking officials' visits to Tehran, saying that the two countries boast of huge capacities for bolstering ties.
Iranian officials including presidential advisor, Akbar Torkan and head of Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Masoud Soltanifar also visited Croatia to promote ties and exchange delegations.
The Croatian official said that implementation o Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will open a new chapter in bilateral relations.
She said that Iran can have good cooperation with Croatia in different fields such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture and Tourism.
Taherian, for his part, said that there numerous grounds for mutual cooperation and appointment of new ambassador is indicative of Iranian government's attention to ties with Croatia.
