President Rouhani to visit Italy, France next week

Tehran, Jan 12, IRNA – President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to pay official visits to Italy and France at the invitation of from his counterparts in those two major European countries.

Vice President for Media and Information Affairs Parviz Esmaili told IRNA on Wednesday that the President accompanied by a high ranking delegation will leave Tehran for Rome, Italy on Monday, January 25 .
'After attending an official reception ceremony President Rouhani and his accompanying delegation will have meetings with the Italian president, prime minister and other high ranking officials, as well as some major Italian industrialists and investors,' he said.
The vice president added that while in Italy the Iranian president will also have a meeting with the Pope in Vatican where his first leg of the European tour will finish.
Esmaili said that on Wednesday, January 27 President Rouhani will leave Italy for the French capital city, Paris, where he will visit the French president and the two countries' high ranking delegations will hold talks.
Meetings with the director general of the UN cultural body, UNESCO, and a number of French investors, economic activists and major industrialists are on agenda of the Iranian president.
Esmalili said that the Iranian president will also give interviews and participate in press conferences in Italy and France during his 4-day two-nation Europena tour.
President Rouhani will leave Paris for Tehran on Thursday, January 28.
