Most of people in Tehran, happy with removal of sanctions: poll

Tehran, Jan 20, IRNA – About 79 percent of people living in the Iranian capital are happy about the removal of anti-Iran sanctions and the start of 'Implementation Day', the latest poll carried out by IRNA shows.

According to the poll that conducted just three days after lifting anti-Iran sanctions on January 16, about 75.5 percent of the Tehranis are hopeful about the future situation in Iran, a higher percentage compared to before.

Only 6.6 announced that the situation in Iran will be worsened.

The US and the European Union lifted anti-Iran sanctions after the January 16 report released by the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano who verified nuclear program in Iran by his report.

Then, the implementation of the July 14 nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) started as Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini issued a joint statement announcing the 'Implementation Day'.
