Danish companies willing to cooperate with Iran in Caspian Sea

Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA – Danish companies are interested in cooperation in the Caspian Sea but Iran is willing to contribute to development of the oil layer of South Pars, Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said on Tuesday.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs Kristian Jensen.
He said Iran is interested in expansion of cooperation with Danish companies in the upstream sector, oil services, petrochemicals and refining.
Zangeneh said that Denmark has high potentials in oil industry.
'Danish companies can cooperate with Iran in various sectors.'
He said Danish companies should strive for cooperation with Iranian big and powerful companies and in this field, Danish government can extend the insurance coverage to the Danish companies and help them meet the goal.
Referring to conclusion of a memorandum of understanding by Iranian Ministry of Economy and Finance and Danish delegation for extension of export insurance coverage, Zangeneh said the MoU will be put into force after lifting the sanctions.
Describing the prospect of cooperation with Denmark 'suitable', Zangeneh said the country has a good record of cooperation with Iran.
On interest of Danish companies in the LNG sector in Iran, Zangeneh said the companies have expressed their interest in low level cooperation.
To a question whether Iran has had cooperation with Danish companies in the oil industry, Zangeneh said Denmark was already involved in the petrochemical sector and production of ammonia with Topsoe license.
Maersk Company of Denmark is active in various industrial sectors such as the world container shipping and in offshore, trying to cooperate with the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines in the offshore sector as well.
