Intelligence minister urges serious reaction to enemy's infiltration

Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA – Intelligence minister described 'infiltration' as the latest arm used by the enemy to stand against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mahmoud Alavi made the remarks Monday evening at the 23rd meeting of the Friday prayers leaders in Tehran on January 4-5.

The issue of influence is a very sensitive strategy which should not be dealt with simplistically, Alavi said.

Referring to the latest terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Tunis, Lebanon and Beirut, Alavi said Iran has not witnessed such events thanks to the efforts made by all branches in the country.

Intelligence Ministry observes all issues vigilantly and is aware of all moves, the minister said.

In about three years ago, Iran has seen high level of security while the world has witnessed decrease in that level, the minister added.

On duty of the Friday prayers leaders, Alavi said successful fight with different kinds of plots would be impossible if those leaders had not cooperated.

The enemy first plans to mount a military attack on the country, then imposes sanctions and when it experienced in vain all those plans, it adopts strategy on infiltration, Alavi said.

He added that the enemy has plans to influence the nation culturally, economically, socially and intelligence-wise.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has warned against such influence, he added.
