Turkey calls on Iran, Saudi Arabia to settle tensions

Ankara, Jan 4, IRNA – Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus called on Tehran and Riyadh to ease tensions.

'Both Saudi Arabia and Iran would suffer from the hostile attitudes,' Kurtulmus saisd, urging them to put tensions behind them.

Kurtulmus strongly criticized execution of prominent Shiite cleric Nimr Baqir al-Nimr by Saudi Arabia.

'Enough is enough; the region is in need of peace and calm as everyone must act with caution,' he added.
