Interior Ministry urges identifying attackers of Saudi Embassy

Tehran, Jan 3, IRNA – Deputy interior minister said on Sunday that the minister has ordered identifying perpetrators of the attack on Saudi Embassy and Consulate to bring to justice.

Talking to IRNA Sunday, Hosseinali Amiri said that execution of Sheikh Nimr created a wave of sorrow across the world and the Iranian nation with Shia and Sunni as well as the religious minorities condemned the bitter inhumane act which runs against human rights standards.
Today, martyrdom of Sheikh Nimr was the hot news of the regional media and among the most significant news across the world, he said, noting that the Iranian nation alongside the other Muslims around the world consider the non-Islamic and inhumane act as violation of human rights standards.
Interior minister in person and his deputy for security affairs seriously pursuing the issue to prevent any possible incident and ordered disciplinary forces to adopt necessary measures to stop illegal acts, he said.
'Unfortunately, we witnessed some illegal behaviors by a number of people who couldn't control their feelings, which caused damage to Saudi Arabia Embassy and Consulate,' he said.
Interior Ministry deplored what happened following execution of Sheikh Nimr, saying that such acts are unacceptable and unjustifiable, Amiri said.
Presidential Office has also declared such acts as insulting to the Islamic system and detrimental to its image, he said.
