Demonstrations at Tehran Palestine Sq in protest at Sheikh Nimr execution

Tehran, Jan 3, IRNA - People of Tehran on Sunday staged a sit-in around Palestine Square of Tehran in protest at the execution of the Saudi Shiite Leader Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.

Hundreds of Muslim people condemned the execution in the demonstration.
The demonstrators chanted slogans in condemnation of the execution.
Sheikh Nimr was the vocal critic of the Saudi kingdom for the injustice against the Saudi Shia community and the aggression on national sovereignty of Yemen through indiscriminate bombardment of Yemeni civilian targets at the request of its ousted government.
Iran protested to the Saudi government over death of the Shia religious leader and said that punishment of the religious leader of the Shia community in Saudi Arabia is blatant violation of international Law.
